يناضل نحو ألفي فرنسي وأكثر من خمسة آلاف من قوات حفظ السلام الآفارقة لوقف موجات  العنف ضد مسلمي إفريقيا الوسطى التي تشهدها البلاد على مدى الثمانية عشر شهرا الماضية.

ورحلت قوات حفظ السلام التابعة للاتحاد الإفريقي اليوم الإثنين كل المسلمين المتبقين في حي بي كيه 12 في العاصمة بانجي نحو بلدة كابو وسيدو على حدود تشاد.

ويتزامن هذا التطور مع مقتل 22 شخصا على الأقل بينهم 15 من الزعماء المحليين وثلاثة من العاملين المحليين في منظمة أطباء بلا حدود الخيرية في هجوم وقع يوم السبت على بلدة نانجا بوجويلا على بعد 450 كيلومترا الى الشمال من العاصمة بانجي.

وقال عضو البرلمان السابق عن البلدة جيل اكزافييه نجويمباسا إن أربعة أشخاص قتلوا لدى إقتراب المهاجمين من البلدة ولكن معظم القتلى سقطوا عندما هاجم ثوار سيليكا عيادة تديرها منظمة أطباء بلا حدود بحثا عن المال.

وأضاف وقع الهجوم اثناء اجتماع الزعماء المحليين هناك وأطلق المسلحون النار عندما حاول بعض هؤلاء الزعماء الهرب.

وأردف قائلا لرويترز نقلا عن شهود عيان تحدث إليهم إن”15 من الزعماء المحليين قتلوا فورا.”

وأكد ممثل محلي لحكومة بانجي الحادث.

وأكد متحدث باسم أطباء بلا حدود القتلى بين موظفيه ولكنه لم يذكر تفاصيل آخرى . ولم يتسن الاتصال على الفور بمسؤولي سيليكا للتعليق.
