وأكد أهالي محافظة غامد الزناد البالغ عددهم قرابة 63000 ألف نسمة أن خدمة الإنترنت بطيئة جدًّا في المحافظة، وأن الحاجة إلى الاتصال بالإنترنت السريع للتواصل مع الآخرين ومع الجهات الحكومية ومتابعة المعاملات اليومية أصبحت ضرورة ملحة، مناشدين الجهة المعنية بمعالجة الوضع بشكل سريع.

وكانت شركات الاتصالات في السعودية أطلقت شبكة الجيل الرابع 4G LTE بداية العام 2017م، دون تفعيل فعلي للخدمة بمحافظة غامد الزناد.
